Super 8 by Wyndham Montrose

Only stayed here for one night on my way through town. Basic accommodations, clean rooms, and friendly staff. The place could use a major refresh. Breakfast was very weak, mostly packaged foods. There are some good coffee shops nearby for a quick breakfast....

Loud! I spent the night of Jun 12 at this hotel. I had just been in Cabo for fishing, and while In Denver, my flight to the Western Slope was delayed. Rather than drive at 1 am. I chose to get a hotel in Montrose, heading South to home. So, arrived a little after midnight. A night person said check in was not possible until 3 pm. I repeated my name and explained it was for the night of June12. He then realized it was okay for me to get a room key. My first concern was that I was next to the vending machines. Nope, they weren’t a big issue. My room adjoined a mechanical room that was very loud. Additionally the room a/c was very loud. I recorded the loud noise with a video. I need to find a way to post. I had some ear plugs. Not much help. I managed to sleep less than 5 hours. I should have never stayed here. It was the right thing to not drive while tired in the middle of the night. Minor issues included the pillows smelling bad. One positive…bathroom seemed clean.

Literally, this hotel is the sweet spot; it's economical but well kept, with enough of everything but no extras either! It's mostly updated and everything worked, no issues at all. It was quiet and safe at night, and all areas were clean. A good mattress, not too soft or high. I was however disappointed the hot tub was outside, detached from the hotel; it was too difficult to contemplate using it. Breakfast was acceptable with all the carbs plus hardboiled eggs. Kind service from everyone I encountered. Would totally stay again.
